That idea stayed with founder Sara Anne Fossum long before she launched Vyve.

Raised in Stavanger and Sandnes, Norway, Sara grew up deeply aware of the delicate balance between society, nature, economy, and how quickly that balance is slipping. Driven by this concern, she pursued a degree in Business and Sustainability at the University of Manchester, followed by a Master’s in Sustainability at the University of Sydney. During her studies, she worked at AstraZeneca, helping shape its long-term 2050 sustainability strategy, a firsthand look at the challenges of embedding sustainability in large corporate systems.

She later served as Corporate Sustainability Manager at Laerdal Medical, where she worked on integrating sustainability into global operations and aligning strategic goals with measurable impact. The role deepened her understanding of how sustainability must function across departments to be truly effective.


In 2023, she published a research report titled:

“How Can Businesses Thrive in a Sustainable Economy?”. The report explored what a truly sustainable business model looks like, holistically, across operations, value creation, and long-term strategy.

We believe sustainability shouldn’t be an afterthought, it should be the operating system.

That’s why we built Vyve.
